About Dr. Orlov

Dr. Steven Orlov is an Endocrinologist (the study of hormones), with an interest in diabetes, thyroid disease, metabolic bone disease and other general endocrine problems.
He completed his medical training at the University of Toronto, where he went on to complete his Internal Medicine and Endocrinology residencies.
Dr. Orlov's primary practice is in located in North York, at the Polyclinic Specialty Medicine Clinic (Dufferin Street and Finch Avenue West).
Academically, he has worked closely with his mentor Dr. Paul Walfish at Mount Sinai Hospital to investigate clinical and biochemical predictors in well-differentiated thyroid cancer. In honour of these contributions, he has received the Endocrine Society’s Medical Student Achievement Award and Outstanding Abstract Award, as well as the Dr. Fernand Labrie Fellowship Research Award from the Canadian Society of Endocrinology & Metabolism. Dr. Orlov accepts referrals for patients with diabetes, thyroid disease, metabolic bone disease, hypogonadism/amenorrhea and other general endocrine problems. He also works in conjunction with diabetes nurse educators to help initiate and adjust insulin therapies for patients who require it.
Dr. Orlov also has a clinical interest in obesity management and sees patients at the Wharton Medical Clinic for Obesity & Diabetes Management.
Dr. Orlov is fluent in English and Russian, and welcomes all patients in the community.
